Monday, October 7th

Today in Kindergarten...

  • We learned all about the letter E!
  • AM Kinders did some sky scientist work and went outside to observe the sky. Some of the things we noticed were...
    • the sky was light in some parts and dark in other parts
    • the clouds looked like a blanket
    • there were birds and airplanes flying
    • there was a little bit of pink
    • maybe there's a storm coming
  • PM Kinders practiced sorting with various materials. We sorted by...
    • Colours
    • Sizes
    • Shapes
    • Details (Number of corners, round and flat, etc.)
  • We read a story called "How To Catch a Star" by Oliver Jeffers

Ask your child...

  • About long and short E sounds. (What starts with the letter E? How many lines make an upper case E?)
  • AM - What did you see in the sky this morning?
  • PM - What did you sort with this afternoon? Can you sort things around the house by size/colour/shape?

Reminders:
Keep practicing those zippers! We are getting better every day :)
