- AM and PM Kinders did a shape hunt. They were shown pictures of nature (e.g., fish, tree stump, pile of rocks, etc.) and had to identify where they see 2D and 3D shapes.
- AM and PM Kinders were introduced to some brand new centers today. Ask your child which center they played at! (Holiday observation station, playdoh cookies, space shuttle center, shape memory game, family gingerbread tracing, writing center, measurement center, number roll, winter wonderland sand play)
- AM Kinders went and practiced for the Christmas concert in the gym with Mrs. Miller.
- PM Kinder finished up their Peace page in their visual journal. They used their 5 senses to describe the things that make them feel peaceful and happy.
Just in case you have not had a chance...we are asking parents/guardians to send in the following to school ASAP
- a picture of their family home (on paper, does not have to be in color). Kinders will be using their picture to do a shape hunt. If you are unable to send a picture of your home....any picture of a residence will do :)
- a 4x6 picture of your family. We will begin to look the similarities and differences between families. We will also look at different traditions. We will keep these photos within the classroom and they will be incorporated into a family project that your child will be doing.
