Today in Kindergarten...

  • AM and PM Kindergarten were read the story 'Pick A Pine Tree' By: Patricia Toht
  • AM and PM Kindergarten students shared what their favorite part of the holidays is and drew a picture.
  • Mia the Silky Chicken came to visit us. With our talk about families we have discussed how animals are a part of our families. Thank you Arya for sharing your newest member of your family with us. Mia is amazing!
  • AM Kinders went to gym to practice their performance for our Christmas concert
  • PM Kinders did a shape review and talked about 'how they know a shape is what they say it is' (what attributes does it have? how many corners? how many sides? etc.)
  • AM and PM Kinders participated in writing Christmas cards to overseas stationed veterans as a way of 'filling other's buckets' during this holiday season. If you want to read more about this initiative...check out the following link -->  VETERAN HOLIDAY CARDS

Just in case you have not had a chance...we are asking parents/guardians to send in the following to school ASAP

  1. a picture of their family home (on paper, does not have to be in color). Kinders will be using their picture to do a shape hunt. If you are unable to send a picture of your home....any picture of a residence will do :)
  2. a 4x6 picture of your family. We will begin to look the similarities and differences between families. We will also look at different traditions. We will keep these photos within the classroom and they will be incorporated into a family project that your child will be doing.
